Rock wool, also known as mineral wool, is a high-performance thermal insulation and fireproof material made from natural volcanic rock (mainly basalt) and dolomite. With its excellent comprehensive properties, it is widely used in construction, petrochemical, electric power and other industries worldwide.
Rock wool products are made from high-quality molten basalt as the primary raw material. Through the four-roller centrifugal fiberizing process, the molten basalt is drawn into discontinuous fibers with a diameter of 4–7μm.Subsequently, a precise amount of binder, dust suppressant, and water repellent are added to the fibers. The mixture then undergoes a series of procedures including sedimentation, lamination, curing, and cutting, before being fabricated into products of varying densities and forms—such as blankets, boards, and pipes—tailored to specific application requirements.Additionally, the products can be supplied either as plain (non-faced) versions or with a wire mesh facing. This versatile material is widely used for thermal insulation in construction, petroleum, electric power, and chemical industry equipment, as well as for insulation in building partitions, curtain walls, roofs, and overall building envelope systems.
Excellent thermal insulation performance, outstanding structural stability and long service life.
Fire-resistant & Flame-retardant.
Made of flame-retardant materials, it is non-combustible and safe for application.
The product's long-fiber structure features good elasticity, which can effectively reduce vibration, achieving remarkable shock absorption, sound insulation and noise reduction effects.
